Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Centre here has issued heavy rainfall warning for the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack till 8.30 am on August 20.
While issuing the orange warning, the Met office said, “Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) is very likely to occur in some areas of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack city.”
This can lead to traffic congestion, waterlogging in the low-lying areas and underpass roads, while making them slippery. There will be poor visibility during intense rain, it added.
It also asked people to watch out for manholes and uncovered electric wires.
