During the period, rain and thundershower will lash the districts of Khurda, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Puri, Mayurbhanj and Boudh on Monday while Koraput, Gajapati, Malkangiri and Rayagada will witness heavy rain on Tuesday.
The release also said that a low-pressure area is most likely to form over the central and north-west Bay of Bengal by the evening on September 18. Under its influence, heavy rainfall will lash coastal, northern and southern Odisha districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Koraput, Kandhamal, Balasore, Cuttack, Jagatsinsghpur, Kendrapara and Bhadrak for two days from September 20.
