Keonjhar: Heavy rain triggered by a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal has created a flood-like situation in Odisha’s Keonjhar district with water level in rivers, rivulets, canals and nullahs continuing to rise menacingly.
While river Baitarani is flowing above the danger level at Anandpur, flood water of Singhpur Bainga Nullah inundated many places in Banshapal area in the district.

A large number of vehicles are stuck on both sides of the road since this morning, worsening the plight of the stranded passengers. Hundreds of trucks carrying goods are seek parked sides of the road. Passenger lanes are also stopped.
