Bhubaneswar: Heavy rain coupled with lightning and thunderstorm is likely to batter at least six districts of Odisha on Wednesday afternoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning. State capital Bhubaneswar is also likely to be affected.
In a message issued at 11.40 am, the IMD sounded an orange warning for Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar, Baleshwar, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Kataka and Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city) during next three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and plan accordingly for their safety.
