Bhubaneswar: Odisha may continue to experience thunderstorm activity till May 15, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Saturday.
According to the weather agency, thunderstorm with lightning accompanied by gusty wind may lash several parts of the state till May 13. Isolated heavy rainfall is also likely during May 11-13 under the influence of a cyclonic circulation, which lies over northeast Assam and neighbourhood and another over north Bangladesh and neighbourhood. Yellow warning of thunderstorm with lightning has been sounded for another two days. Light to moderate rain/thundershower may also occur across the state during this period.
The day temperature in the state will remain static for 3-4 days during which the mercury level may remain 2-4°C below normal and rise thereafter by 2-4 degree Celsius, it added.
