Bhubaneswar: The regional meteorological centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued thunderstorm warning for four districts of Odisha.
According to a bulletin issued in this regard, latest weather Doppler radar and satellite imageries indicate that thunderstorm accompanied by lighting and heavy rain is likely to occur over Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts by 12:15 pm.
Residents of these places have been advised to either stay indoors or shift to safe locations, if such weather conditions prevail.
The Met bulletin also stated that normal monsoon rain is expected to lash all parts of the state from July 2.
