Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued a nowcast warning for 16 districts of Odisha till 4.35 pm.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is likely in some parts of Ganjam, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Balangir, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, and Bargarh during the next three hours.
The MeT office has warned about waterlogging in low-lying areas, occasionally poor visibility and traffic disruption in urban areas. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
