Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday forecast a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thunder and lightning in the Odisha capital.
There is a possibility of thunderstorm in Bhubaneswar on April 14, 15 and 17. The city is likely to experience thundershower on April 16 and 20 and a partly cloudy sky on April 18 and 19.
Similarly, Cuttack may experience thunderstorm on April 15 and 16 and thundershower on April 20.
Yellow warning with caution towards thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph has been sounded for Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Balangir, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati. Such weather conditions will prevail in these districts for the next 24 hours.
The met office has also predicted heavy rainfall at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput and Nabarangpur during this period.
Similarly, light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at a few places in Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Balangir, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Boudh, Nayagarh and Mayurbhanj.
