Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange warning for four districts of Odisha till 1.30 pm on Wednesday.
Moderate to heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorm/lightning and surface wind reaching 30-40 kmph may occur in some parts of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak and Keonjhar districts in 3 hours.
Light to moderate rain along with thunderstorm/lightning is also likely in remaining districts of the state during this period.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
