Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to experience rainfall activity till January 14, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Wednesday.
“Under the influence of mid and upper tropospheric westerlies and interaction with low-level easterlies and also moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal, light to moderate rainfall activity is very likely to occur at many places, till1 14th January 2022,” the IMD said in its mid-day bulletin.
The MeT office has also forecast isolated thunderstorm accompanied by hail and heavy rain in some districts of Odisha during this period. “Some impact on agriculture is expected due to this weather phenomenon. Traffic disruption is likely in city areas during intense rain spells,” it said.
Yellow warning for thunderstorm and lightning has been issued for several districts of the state for the next 3 days.
