Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday forecast heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of interior north and south coastal Odisha in next 48 hours.
The national weather agency, in its evening bulletin, said a cyclonic circulation lying over north Chhattisgarh and neighbourhood and a north-south trough from north-east Bihar to north coastal Odisha will trigger heavy to very heavy rainfall over the aforesaid areas of the state.
This apart, intense relative humidity in the lower atmosphere will also result in thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places in these areas of the state which will continue for five days till July 4, it added.
In view of the heavy rainfall and thunderstorm warning, a yellow warning has been issued for the districts on the following days:

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely at one or two places over Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj
