Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued heavy rainfall warning in the south and north interior districts of Odisha, under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over south Odisha and its neighbourhood.
There will be thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places in these districts, while rainfall activity will continue till July 14.
IMD has issued yellow warning for the following districts:
July 9
1. Heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur and Rayagada.
Thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurda, Angul, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
July 10
Heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal and Jajpur.
Thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Kandhamal, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Nuapada, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Dhenkanal and Jajpur.
July 11
Thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places over the districts Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Sundargarh.
July 13
Heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Balangir, Boudh, Sonepur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur and Kandhamal.
