Bhubaneswar: The regional meteorological centre here on Thursday said that one or places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati and Kandhamal districts are likely to experience heavy rainfall on Friday (September 25).
It has also issued yellow warning of thunderstorm with lightning for one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal.
In the next 24 hours, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places in Nuapada, Balangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak and Kandhamal, the weatherman said.
Rainfall activities will continue in the state till September 28 and there will be a slight increase in the spells in the subsequent two days, it added.
