Heavy Rain To Resume Again In Coastal Odisha After 3 Days; Check IMD Forecast

Bhubaneswar: Amid the ebbing intensity of rain, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicted thundershower at several places in Odisha during the next few days.

Heavy rain alert has been issued for one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Kendrapada only till 8.30 am on September 15.  Intense spells of rain will resume again on September 18 under the influence of a cyclonic circulation, which is likely to form over the north Bay of Bengal during that period, after a brief lull when Odisha may witness light to moderate rain and thunderstorm, the MeT office said in its midday bulletin.

“An upper air cyclonic circulation is likely to form over north Bay of Bengal off north Odisha-West Bengal coasts around September 18. Under its influence, rainfall activity is likely to increase,” it said.
