Rayagada: Roads in Rayagada district have been washed away following heavy rainfall since Saturday night, disrupting vehicular movement.
“Intermittent rain has spelled untold misery for the villagers. No one from the district administration has arrived here to take stock of the situation. Road traffic was disrupted for several hours and vehicles diverted through other routes,” a villager said.
Communication between Dakulguda and Thuamudi panchayats have been affected as roads got washed away with 4 feet high water flowing over Kanijodi river bridge at Bisamkatak block.
Similarly, Baliguda approach road was also washed away, cutting off communication between Kalyansinghpur, Baliguda, Kashipur and Muniguda areas of the district.
