Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday sounded orange and yellow warnings for 11 districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar, till 9 pm.
Moderate rain/thundershower accompanied by lightning and hail along with one or two intense spell of rain may affect some of Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapada, and Puri districts during the next 3 hours.
The weather agency has warned of waterlogging in low-lying areas, occasionally poor visibility and traffic disruption in urban area.
Similarly, yellow warning of light to moderate rain/thundershower with lightning has been issued for Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Keonjhar and Bhadrak during this period.
