Bhubaneswar: After a brief lull, heavy rain may resume in Odisha from September 22, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Thursday.
The weather agency has sounded yellow warning of heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm with lightning at isolated places in Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and Khurda districts on September 22. Heavy rainfall may also occur at isolated places in Angul and Dhenkanal while thunderstorm with lightning is likely at isolated places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Puri, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati districts.
On September 23, heavy rainfall along with thunderstorm and lightning may continue at isolated places in Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Nayagarh and Khurda districts. Thunderstorm with lightning may also occur at isolated places in Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Rayagada.
While there is no weather warning thereafter, light to moderate rain/thundershower may occur at many places across the state during the subsequent two days.
