Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued yellow warning for heavy rainfall for one or two places in Nabarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, and Kalahandi districts till 8.30 am on September 23.
Thunderstorm with lightning alert has also been sounded for some places in Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj during this period.
Thunderstorm with lightning is likely to continue at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack,
Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Dhenkanal and Angul during the subsequent 24 hours, the MeT office said.
Several places in the state will continue to experience light to moderate rain till 8.30 am on September 26, it added.
