Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued a yellow warning for heavy rainfall warning in several districts of Odisha with increased intensity of downpours till Monday morning.
According to the midday bulletin, heavy rainfall is likely in some places in Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, and Koraput till 8.30 am on October 10.
A yellow warning for thunderstorm with lightning has also been issued for one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, and Koraput during this period and for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Mayurbhanj, and Dhenkanal in the subsequent 24 hours.
No warning has been issued for the next three days till October 13. However, light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur in many places over several districts.
