Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Odisha visit itinerary is likely to be tweaked amid heavy rains forecast for the state.
The PM is scheduled to address a public rally as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Seva Paksha programme at Rangeilunda in Berhampur on September 27.
Sources said that the venue of his scheduled programme could be shifted. The Prime Minister may attend an event at Amulipali ground in Jharsuguda instead. However, there has been no official confirmation from either the BJP or government authorities about the final decision.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive at Berhampur at 11 am on the day of the event and unveil a series of development initiatives aimed at upgrading healthcare, infrastructure, education, and digital connectivity.
These include:
– Capacity expansion of eight Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) across the country.
– Doubling of the Koraput-Baiguda and Manbazar-Koraput-Gorapur railway lines.
– Inauguration of the Sambalpur-Sarla flyover.
– Nationwide rollout of indigenous 4G network services by BSNL.
– Declaration of MKCG Medical College in Berhampur and VIMSAR in Burla as world-class super-specialty institutions.
– Launch of a pan-India skill development program.
