Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued very heavy rain for Odisha till 8.30 am on Thursday.
According to the weather agency, heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) and thunderstorm with lightning may occur at one or two places in Bhadrak, Kendrapada and Jagatsinghpur districts. Heavy rain (7 to 11cm) along with thunderstorm and lightning is also likely at one or two places in Keonjhar, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sonepur, Rayagada, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh and Jajpur.
Bhubaneswar may experience cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower.
Despite a dip in the intensity, heavy rain may continue in the state for another 3 days.

Heavy rainfall may occur at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda districts.
August 16
Heavy rainfall may continue at one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur.
August 17
Heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Bargarh districts.
While there is no warning thereafter, light to moderate rain/thundershower may occur at many places across the state during the subsequent 3 days.
