Jagatsinghpur: The body of the helper of a sand-laden Hyva truck was recovered from the vehicle at Purunagarh under Sadar police limits in Jagatsinghpur district on Thursday.
The body was spotted by some labourers while unloading sand from the vehicle. They immediately alerted the police regarding the same.
However, there were no injury marks on the body and it has been sent for autopsy to ascertain the cause of death.
“The driver of the vehicle might have murdered the person as he has been absconding since the incident”, police sources said.
Separate raids are being conducted at different places in the district to nab the absconding driver, the sources added.
