Bhubaneswar: You don’t need eyes to dream. Tapaswani Das, who is visually impaired proved it by cracking the Odisha Civil Services 2018 exam in the very first attempt. She secured 161st rank in the recently released results.
The keyword for such an achievement is dedication, she said. The 161st rank is as good as she could get and she has no regrets as maintaining a balance while preparing for the OPSC and PG exams simultaneously was not an easy task for her.
Since both her optional subjects, Political Science and History were covered in her course curriculum, she did not have to make a separate study plan for the civil services exam, she said.
Tapaswani has no qualms about working any field she is assigned and said that she would give her best to whatever she is given.
“There are no shortcuts to OAS success. It’s a long and arduous journey. One needs to stay positive no matter what,” is her message to aspiring candidates.
