Here Are Some Symptoms That Need Serious Attention After Vaccination

New Delhi: Tiredness, muscle pain, headache, fever, nausea, chills are some of the side effects that are common after vaccination. However, some symptoms, in rare cases, can be a cause of concern.

Some side effects can be life-threatening like blood clots, as was reported in several cases after administration of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The Central government has listed some post-vaccination symptoms that may need immediate attention.

The ministry of information and broadcasting shared a graphic on social media on Saturday and suggested people immediately consult a doctor if those symptoms are witnessed within 20 days of administration of any COVID-19 vaccine.

Here are the symptoms within 20 days of vaccination that may need immediate attention:

  1. Shortness of breath
  2. Chest pain
  3. Vomiting or persistent abdominal pain
  4. Blurred vision or pain in the eyes
  5. Severe or persistent headache
  6. Weakness in any body part
  7. Seizures
  8. Pain in limbs or swelling in arms or feet

Meanwhile, India has achieved the milestone of administering 80 crore doses of vaccines, a day after its extraordinary feat of administering over 2.5 crore shots in one day.
