New Delhi: Trust artificial intelligence (AI) to come up with bizarre, unheard of solutions to difficult problems.
For those who are longing to freshen up after a long day’s work but feeling too exhausted to make the effort, he or she could soon avail of a machine.
The ‘human washing machine’ of the future, or the ‘Mirai Ningen Sentakuki’, has been designed and built by engineers in Japan. The wonder machine uses AI to analyse a human’s body and then a customised ‘wash-and-dry’ process.
Osaka-based showerhead company Science Co. has invented the unique contraption which it says works like a washing machine and takes 15 minutes to wash a human.
The machine, which resembles the pod or cockpit of a fighter jet, will be displayed at next April’s Osaka Kansai Expo in Japan, where 1,000 guests will try it out.
More About The Wonder Machine
One has to climb into the clear plastic pod. It fills halfway with warm water before high-speed water jets containing small air bubbles are blasted. A small but powerful pressure wave is produced, which removes dirt from the skin. The electrodes in the chair where the user sits gathers biological information to ensure that the person is washed at an appropriate temperature.
But hold on, there’s more to come. The human washing machine cleans not just the body, it can also ‘wash the mind’ using AI.
Biological information is interpreted through an AI-powered sensor to figure out if the user needs to be soothed and projects a specifically selected calming video inside the plastic pod.
Hence, a quick wash leaves you feeling physically and mentally refreshed.
Science Co. has not stated when this machine would be available for public purchase or its possible cost.
