New Delhi: Deepika Padukone created a flutter when she appeared in Om Shanti Om. She continues to win hearts as she turns 38 today with a hugely successful career behind her.
Not only is she a global star, Deepika is the first Indian actor to become the house brand ambassador of international brands like Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Levis, Qatar Airways, etc. Apart from that, she has won several Filmfare Best Actor awards for her range of appealing performances.
Ahead of her birthday she spoke with Vogue Singapore and hinted at wanting to start a family with husband Ranveer Singh, saying they hope to inculcate the values of their upbringing into their children.
“Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family,” she was quoted as saying.
“When I meet the people I have grown up with—my aunts, uncles, family friends—they always mention how I haven’t changed one bit. That says a lot about our upbringing.”
“In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home. I am a daughter and a sister first. I don’t want that to change. My family keeps me grounded and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children,” said Padukone.
