Here’s What Travel Blogger Yatri Doctor Claims After Social Media Accuses Him Of Having Pakistan Links

New Delhi: After the arrest of his friend, Jyoti Malhotra, Navankur Chaudhary aka Yatri Doctor, a doctor-turned-YouTuber, has refuted allegations of being a spy for Pakistan. He has become the target of a social media trial after as users are digging up old videos of Chaudhary to indicate his ties with Pakistan.

In a video shared on Instagram last night, Chaudhary declined such allegations. He said a fake narrative was being spread against him. Social media users had shared videos of him at a party at the Pakistan High Commission. In another video, he criticises a BSF personnel and it also shows a clip that allegedly shows the wrong map of India. Social media users are accusing Chaudhary to be a Pakistani spy.

What Chaudhary told about his Pakistan trip?

Chaudhary has over 6.5 lakh followers on Instagram. Speaking about his trip to Pakistan, he clarified that he has visited the neighbouring country only once. He alleged that the media and accusers were spreading a fake narrative about him that he visits Pakistan regularly. “Bhai main Pakistan sirf ek baar gaya hun (I have been to Pakistan once only),” he declared.

The Yatri Doctor said he was on a quest to visit all 197 countries and thus visited Pakistan. Chaudhary’s Instagram bio states that he has already visited 144 countries so far. The travel vlogger emphasised that he is a proud Indian. He also claimed that several of his relatives have served in the army.

Before visiting Pakistan, he had already travelled to 135 or 137 other countries, he claimed.

Links with Jyoti Malhotra

Chaudhary admitted that he knew Jyoti Malhotra. He said that Malhotra met him claiming to be his fan.

“I treated her like a fan. I can’t look inside a person to see what they are,” he said. “Before that day, I did not know Jyoti personally. We had never met before. On that day too, we only spoke for a bit about YouTube,” said the doctor-turned-travel vlogger.

The doctor reiterated that he is not under investigation from any Indian agency. He also assured of his cooperation should any investigating agency wish to question him.
