New Delhi: The travel influencer and photographer Anunay Sood, aged 32, has died, his family announced in a statement posted on his official Instagram account on Thursday morning.
In their message, his family said: “It is with deep sadness that we share the news of our beloved Anunay Sood’s passing.” They requested privacy, asked well-wishers not to gather at his residence, and appealed for understanding during this difficult time.
While Sood’s recent social-media posts show he was in Las Vegas and attending the luxury automotive event at Wynn Las Vegas just days before his death, the exact cause of his demise has not been made public. The Las Vegas police have yet to issue a statement.
What we know so far
Sood’s last Instagram post, dated November 4, featured him at the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, where he posed amid dream machines and luxury cars.
On November 3, he uploaded a YouTube video titled “Exploring the Hidden Side of Switzerland | Places Tourists Never Visit” — part of what could have been an expanding global travel portfolio.
He had amassed over 1.4 million Instagram followers and around 380,000 YouTube subscribers.
Named in Forbes India’s Top 100 Digital Stars list for three consecutive years (2022-24), Sood also ran a digital performance and marketing agency based in Dubai — he had visited 46 countries and aspired to visit 195.
What remains unanswered
Neither Sood’s family nor authorities have disclosed the cause or circumstances of his death.
It is not clear whether Sood’s final location was Las Vegas at the time of his passing or if any medical or foul-play investigation is underway.
No official public statement from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has been made at the time of writing.
