Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Wednesday granted conditional permission to controversial self-proclaimed godman Santosh Raul, also known as Sarathi Baba, to visit Kendrapada to see his ailing brother.
As per the High Court order, Raul can visit Barimula village in Kendrapada district to see his ailing brother once every two months without staying overnight.
The court has given permission to Raul to meet his brother between 5.30 am and 5.30 pm. He has been asked to inform the trial court before every visit to the village and maintain transparency about his movements.
Laying down certain restrictions, the Court has directed that more than 200 people must not gather during Raul’s visits to the village. These measures are part of the conditions linked to his bail agreement, ensuring that large assemblies are controlled effectively.
The order stipulates strict adherence to these conditions to balance humanitarian needs with public order requirements. It is crucial that all involved parties respect the stipulations put forth.
Given the socio-political sensitivities around Raul’s visits to Barimula in Kendrapara district, local authorities have been directed to enforce these conditions to prevent any kinds of disturbances.
