School Peon ‘Stoned To Death’ In Odisha Capital!

Bhubaneswar: A man was allegedly stoned to death near Paikarapur hill under Chandaka police limits, on the outskirts of Odisha capital, on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Bansidhara Behera of Retang area. He was working as a peon at the Paikarapur School.

According to sources, locals spotted the body with bruises and cuts near Paikapur hill and informed the police.

Besides the body, Chandaka police recovered a pair of slippers, an alcohol bottle, cigarettes, and a mobile from the spot.

From the preliminary investigation, police suspect that Banshidhar was having a feast with his friends on the hills and a fight could have ensued between them, leading to his death. Cops are also questioning his family members.
