Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has once again sought a detailed list of students who have successfully cleared the examinations in the last 10 years.
Additional Secretary, Higher Education, Rajashree Mohanty has written to GA & PG Department seeking information on the number of candidates of Odisha clearing the All India Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC every year.
Mohanty cited that the Higher Education Department is going to devise a new scheme for coaching of Civil Service aspirants of the state to increase the number of successful candidates from Odisha in UPSC examinations.
In the letter she stated that “data regarding the number of candidates of Odisha getting through All India Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC every year is not available with the department, it is difficult to frame a suitable scheme that can attract more aspirants for the Civil Service examination.”
In the letter she sought information about the exact number of students who have successfully cleared the examinations in the last 10 years so that a suitable scheme can be framed to attract more candidates to such examination.
Previously, Odisha Government had written to Chief Resident Commissioner regarding the same.
