Malkangiri: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha’s Malkangiri rose to 1,959 on Tuesday with the highest single-day spike of 101 cases in the last 24 hours.
The district administration informed that 100 of the new patients are local contact cases while one is a Telangana returnee.
The highest of 34 cases have been reported from Malkangiri municipality, followed by 19 from Malkangiri block, 12 each from Korukonda and Mathili block, seven each from Khoriput and Kalimela, six from Chitrakonda block, four from Balimela NAC.
Eight among them are COVID warriors.
With four deaths and 1271 recoveries, Malkangiri district now has 684 active cases.
