Balasore : Sadar Police here on Friday arrested Bidwaranjan Puhan, an alleged kingpin of a highway robbers’ gang, from Binjho village under Basta police limit.

Police sources said on September 25 Bidwaranjan (37) and three of his associates looted around Rs 60 lakh from National Highway-5 from certain people in broad daylight at gunpoint, while they had gone to deposit the cash.
Police arrested the prime accused from Binjho village. “We seized 23,500 in cash, a motorcycle and 6 ATM cards of different banks. He confessed to the crime and shared details. We will apprehend the other three very soon, said , SDPO, Balasore Sadar, Amaresh Panda.
