Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Sunday nabbed a wanted criminal and his four associates from Khandagiri here.
The accused, identified as Rakesh, had several cases of extortion and attempt to murder pending against him in several police stations of Odisha capital.
According to reports, Rakesh had managed to flee after firing on a police team on Friday night.
Police, in course of the investigation, arrested his four associates on Saturday and on the basis of their information nabbed Rakesh from Khandagiri on Sunday.
All those arrested will be forwarded to the court on Monday, police said.
