Balasore: The police on Saturday arrested notorious criminal Subodh Giri of Aurangabad in Bihar in connection with murder of one Sk Jasim in Odisha’s Balasore.
Subodh alias Sanjay had allegedly fired four rounds of bullets at Jasim on June 4, 2024. The victim had succumbed to the injuries at SCB Medical College and Hospital a few days later.
DIG Eastern Range Dr Satyajit Naik informed that a pistol and six rounds ammunition were seized from possession of Subodh who is also the prime accused in two major dacoity cases.
“Balasore Industrial police had registered a case under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC which was later modified to Section 302 (murder) and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act. The case has been cracked and efforts are on to nab the associates of the prime accused,” Naik added.
