Hockey World Cup: Offline Ticket Sale From Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: With Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup set to kick off from November 28, Hockey India on Sunday announced that the physical sale of tickets in Bhubaneswar would start from Monday.

Organizers have decided to open the sale of tickets at various outlets, making it easier for sports enthusiasts to book their spots to witness world-class hockey players. The general tickets for all the matches of the quadrennial competition will be available around the city  and at the Box Office at Gate No. 9 of the Kalinga Stadium from 10 am to 5 pm.

In the opening match of the mega sporting event, World No. 3 Belgium start their campaign against World No. 11 Canada. The host nation, India, will play World No. 15 South Africa in the second match the same day.

World No. 5, Indian team, is scheduled to play two more matches in Pool C, which will be against Belgium on December 2 and Canada on December 8.

The general tickets are reasonably priced at Rs 200 (East Stand), Rs 100 (North Stand) and Rs 100 (South Stand) for the Pool and Crossover matches while tickets for the Knockout, Semi-Finals and Final matches are priced at Rs 250 (East Stand), Rs 150 (North Stand and Rs 150 (South Stand).

Secretary General, Hockey India, Rajinder Singh said, “Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup Bhubaneswar 2018 is the biggest hockey competition of the season. I would like to urge everyone to come in huge numbers to watch and support your favourite international hockey heroes.”
