New Delhi: Honda has announced that it will launch the ‘neo-sports cafe’ styled CB300R in India with a price tag starting under Rs 2,50,000. The bookings for the motorcycle has started.
The motorcycle is expected to be launched by the end of March. It will be assembled here.
The retro-modern motorcycle will have round lamps with LEDs and an all-digital cluster.
The engine is a 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve, DOHC motor that is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Honda hasn’t revealed the exact output numbers. In other markets, the power output is stated to be 31.4hp with 27.5Nm torque.
The motorcycle comes with dual-channel ABS as standard. The ABS uses a IMU for better braking management. The front disc has 4-pot caliper while the rear disc has a single one. There is adjustable monoshock in the rear .
The CB300R has 17-inch wheels, the rear being 150/60-17. The UK model of this motorcycle weighs just 143 kg, which makes it lighter than some 150cc motorcycles as well.
It will be available in Matte Axis Gray Metallic and Candy Chromosphere Red colours.
The Honda CB300R will face competition from the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 (Rs 2.50 lakh) and KTM 390 Duke (Rs 2.44 lakh).
