New Delhi: Honda had unveiled the new Civic at the 2018 Auto Expo in February. Now, the company has come up with a facelift version of the same and this model is likely to be launched in India in October or early next year.
The new Civic is a big change from the one that was sold in the country a few years back. Industry experts expect Honda to use the 1.8-litre 140 hp petrol engine on the Civic. However, it is most likely to get a diesel engine this time and the 1.6-litre 120 hp Earth Dreams diesel engine on the CRV could be the likely candidate.
The new Civic gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The international variant gets hordes of safety features, including automatic braking and lane departure warning system along with airbags.
The Honda Civic is expected to be priced between Rs 18 lakh and 22 lakh and will go head-on with the Skoda Octavia, Volkswagen Jetta, Hyundai Elantra and the Toyota Corolla Altis.
