New Delhi: Honda on Wednesday launched the BS6-compliant version of Jazz petrol premium hatchback. The diesel version has not been updated.
The key change is a one-touch electric sunroof. Apart from that, it gets a few cosmetic changes such as LED headlights, daytime running LEDs and taillights. The front fascia and bumpers on both sides have been reworked.
Inside, the Jazz has a new dual-tone interior with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also gets a wireless phone charger with holder.
The car continues to be powered by the same 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 89 BHP. It is now BS6-compliant. Gearbox-wise, there’s an option of 5-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters.
The fuel efficiency of the manual is rated at 16.6 kmpl, while that of CVT is 17.1 kmpl.
Honda has said that the CVT variants accounted for nearly 70 per cent of the total Jazz sales in India in 2019.
Safety-wise, the Jazz is equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear-view camera, rear parking sensors and impact mitigating front headrests.
Honda is giving 3 years unlimited km warranty with the Jazz. There is an optional 2 years extended warranty and 3-year Annual Maintenance Package starting at ₹11,670 for three years /30,000 km.
