Bengaluru: A head constable of the excise department in Karnataka died after being stung by honey bees on Thursday. The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a report published in Deccan Herald, the head constable, Hasan Khan Kareemkhan, was attacked by a swarm of bees near Ankola. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Kareemkhan was serving at the Yellapur excise office in Uttara Kannada.
According to an Asianet News report, there have been over 32 bee attacks in the past two months in the region and over 80 people were admitted to Anokola public hospital for treatment.
