Puri: A hotel, Krishna Palace, on Chakratirtha Road in Puri was sealed for violation of COVID-19 protocol.
Owner of the hotel Suresh Kumar Agarwal was fined Rs 40,000 for allowing the party without a valid permission.
According to reports, the hotel had allowed to organise a birthday party on Sunday night in violation of the COVID guidelines during the lockdown period.
The function was organised without a valid permission from the civic authorities.
The raid was carried out by Puri Sea Beach IIC Chinmay Rout and team along with local civic authorities.
