Hotel Worker Found Murdered In Puri; Probe Underway



Puri: A hotel worker was found dead with injury marks under mysterious circumstances near College Chhak in Puri. The incident that took place late on Friday under the jurisdiction of the Town Police Station has sparked tension in the area, and police launched a full-scale investigation.

According to sources, the deceased has been identified as Tuku, a native

of Jaleswar in Balasore district, who was working as a helper in a local hotel in Puri. The victim sustained severe injuries on his body including stomach.

Officials from Town Police station reached the area after receiving information. The crime scene was cordoned off and forensic teams were deployed to collect evidence. Senior police officials including the Superintendent of Police (SP) Prateek Singh reached the spot to oversee the investigation.

The hotel owner where the deceased worked, said that he had working for 1 month and that his family stays in Jaleswar. Tuku was staying at the hotel after finishing work. Preliminary inquiries suggest that the murder may have been the result of a personal dispute, though police have not ruled out other angles.
