Hotels In Bhubaneswar Can Take Bookings Only From Flight Crew Members: BMC Commissioner

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary on Thursday clarified that hotels in the Odisha capital have been opened to facilitate stay of crew members of different airlines.

In view of resumption of flight services on May 25, hotels in Bhubaneswar were allowed to start operations from May 26. “These hotels can accept bookings only for crew members of various airlines and not open the service for others visiting the city,” the BMC Commissioner said.

On Monday, the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Odisha (HRAO)’s chairman JK Mohanty had urged the state government to allow the functioning of hotel rooms as airlines had started operating. He had pointed out that people arriving from different places have been calling them, looking for rooms to stay.
