New Delhi: Hours before the Union Budget 2022-23 presentation by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, oil marketing companies on Tuesday slashed the prices of a commercial 19-kg LPG cylinder by ₹91.50 from February 1.

A 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 1,907 in Delhi, the ANI reported.

However, there has been no change in the prices of non-subsidised 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders. The rates, as released by the oil companies on Tuesday, are — Rs 899.50 per cylinder (Delhi), Rs 926 (Kolkata), Rs 899.50 (Mumbai) and Rs 915.60 (Chennai).

On December 1 last year, the Centre had increased the prices of 19-kg LPG cylinders by Rs 100. The cylinder was costing Rs 2,101 in Delhi following the hike. But on January 1 the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) cut the prices by Rs 102.50 to Rs 2,004 for a cylinder in Delhi.
