Have you wondered how much celebrities earn from Instagram?
Quite a lot, actually.
According to the teal mango Instagram Richlist 2021, Team India captain Virat Kohli, with 125 million-plus followers, gets $680,000 (approximately Rs 5 crore) for every promotional post he makes on Instagram.
He occupies the 19th spot in the overall list, leapfrogging Priyanka Chopra Jones who is currently at No. 27. The actress, producer, author and restaurateur has 64 million followers on Instagram, and receives $403,000 (Rs 3 crore) per post.
There are no other Indians in the top 100.
The list, which is released annually based on how much celebrities charge for their promoted posts on Instagram, is once again topped by football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese striker has 295 million followers and earns $1,604,000 (Rs 11 crore) per post.
Among celebrities, Priyanka occupies 22nd place.
As for the list of global sportspersons, Kohli is at No. 4, following a trio of football stars. Interestingly, the only other cricketer in the top 20 is Kohli’s RCB teammate and former South African skipper AB De Villiers, at 16th.
