Bhubaneswar: Are you worried about going out to buy groceries and essentials during the period of lockdown? While you can place your orders via WhatsApp at most stores for home delivery, here’s a simpler way that lets you browse the available products and place orders using your favourite food delivery apps — Zomato & Swiggy.
Zomato has opened its ‘Zomato Market’ in various parts of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. Like food, it has partnered with grocery stores such as Vishal Megamart and other smaller stores. Swiggy, too, has done likewise.

Both services have capped the order weight to 12 kg considering their delivery boys ride two-wheelers.
Similar to their food delivery service, there is contact-less option in which the rider places the grocery bag near your doorstep and calls you, thus lowering the risk of spreading coronavirus.
Swiggy doesn’t allow cash-on-delivery for its orders.
