Bhubaneswar: Subhasish Panda, a Himachal Pradesh cadre IAS officer from Odisha, has been appointed as vice-chairman of Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
Panda, who is currently serving in Himachal Pradesh administration, has been appointed as DDA vice-chairman under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, according to an order of the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).
Panda, a 1997-batch IAS officer, also served as Deputy Director, Administration in AIIMS, New Delhi. During his tenure in AIIMS, he helped many people of Odisha in a big way. The conjoined twins, Jaga and Balia from the state, who stayed in AIIMS-New Delhi for two years for operation and recuperation, received total support from Panda.
He also coordinated efforts to collect funds for the victims of cyclone FANI which hit Odisha in 2019. Panda along with former Director of AIIMS Dr Randip Guleria had presented a cheque of Rs 93.89 lakh to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the time.
