Mumbai: Bollywood’s ‘Greek God’ Hrithik Roshan confirmed his directorial debut with ‘Krrish 4’ at a recent event in Atlanta, USA, and admitted that he is nervous.

Asked if he is directing ‘Krrish 4’, Hrithik replied, “I can’t tell you how nervous I am. I need all the encouragement I possibly can.”

As fans rooted for him, the actor said, “I’ll take all the love back with me.”

A video clip from the event went viral and fans showered their love for the actor.

One user tweeted, “And the man himself confirmed that he’s directing #Krrish4. You’ll do amazing—I knew it!”

Another said, “Really excited to see Hrithik the director in Krrish 4.”

“Can’t wait for his debut as a director,” expressed one person.

On March 28, Hrithik’s father Rakesh Roshan took to Instagram to announce his son’s directorial debut.

Sharing a picture with Hrithik, the filmmaker wrote, “Duggu, 25 years ago I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers — Aditya Chopra and myself — to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar, with good wishes and blessings!”

‘Krrish 4’ is the fourth instalment in the superhero film franchise.

The prequels were directed by Rakesh Roshan and featured Hrithik as the superhero.

The first instalment ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’ (2003) featured Hrithik and Preity Zinta in the lead roles, while Rekha played Hrithik’s mother.

The second instalment ‘Krrish’ (2006) featured Hrithik and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. ‘Krrish 3’ (2013) featured Hrithik and Priyanka as the protagonists, while Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi played the antagonists.

Hrithik will also be seen portraying the character of Major Kabir Dhaliwal in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘War 2’, which also stars Kiara Advani as the female lead and is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14.
