Kendrapara: Hours after the circulation of MIL (Odia) question papers in the market area of Aul Block in Odisha’s Kendrapara district on the first day of the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations on Friday, the School and Mass Education minister advised the students not to panic as the question papers uploaded on a social media are found to be fake.
“The students need not panic as the MIL question papers circulated in the social media are found to be fake after preliminary investigation,” School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra said.
He said further investigation would be made into the incident if any concrete evidence is found.
Asked about the incident reported in a local news channel, School and Mass Education Secretary Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra said there is absolutely no veracity in the report.
“Soon after the incident was aired in the news channel, the District Education Officer (DEO) conducted an on-the-spot investigation and found that the question papers uploaded on WhatsApp is fake,” he informed.
Asked as to whether the incident will have any effect on the students, Mohapatra said there will be no effect on students.
“The incident was reported after two hours of the commencement of the examination. By that time the examination was already over,” he pointed out.
