Cuttack/Bhubaneswar: Yet another alleged leakage of question paper of the ongoing annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations has been reported in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.
Sources said the question paper of Science subject was found uploaded on WhatsApp at about 9.30 AM, half-an-hour after the examination began, by some people near Dhanei Vidyapeeth in Khaliamenta in Anandpur sub division.
When contacted, School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra ruled out the alleged leakage of question papers.
Claiming that the examinations are being held amid tight security in all centres in the state, he said some anti-social elements are trying to create panic.
“Had such incident taken place a day before the examination, then we would say that the question paper is leaked. But in these cases, the question papers are found uploaded on social media after an hour of the examinations. This is nothing but a rumour and an attempt to ruin the future of about six lakh students and their families,” the minister added.
It may be recalled that the MIL-Odia and English question papers were allegedly leaked and uploaded on the social media on February 23 and 26 respectively while the Mathematics question paper was also found uploaded on the social media on March 3.
Taking note of leakage of question papers during the ongoing annual High School Certificate (HSC) Examinations in Odisha, the state Crime Branch has formed a special team.
Sources said a special team of Crime Branch Cyber Cell comprising of a DSP and an Inspector will keep a close was on the conduct of examinations at different centres in Odisha. Besides, the Crime Branch has warned the persons involved in the circulation of question papers on the social media to refrain from such illegal acts failing which stern action would be initiated against them.
